Early last week Salmon visitor #111 arrived in the Corner Brook stream trap. Estimated to be around 8lb according to its length that we measure using a white board screwed to the bottom of the trap. We usually open the trap and stop counting at the end of August as traditionally the run slows or stops. Keeping it open this year has rewarded us with a few late comers. DFO has estimated that the stream needs 75 fish to seed it and just about every year we have passed that mark.
